No way, Impossible, Absolutely Cannot Be-Nov 19 2012

No way, Impossible, Absolutely Cannot Be-Nov 19 2012

I am packing to go home (and crying) and just before packing them, I decided, just for fun, to open the cards again!!

I am most definitely in SHOCK.

Pulled, for the FOURTH time in a row, the same card: QUIET TIME

Nothing more to say or write.  I have posts and photos which I have not been doing, I have been without internet in my room for about 10 days, and am perfectly content.  But this is part of my forced quiet time.  I will eventually get everything “out there”….

But there is no question that it is not meant to be for at least the near future if I am really meant to enforce this QUIET TIME to rest, meditate and contemplate.

It has been an amazing journey for me….as always, teaching me, guiding me, confronting me with things I perhaps don’t always want to see, but never letting me go home without giving me what it is I need to take back with me.

I am truly blessed and loved.

Spooky Cards! – Clear Message Nov 16 2012

Spooky Cards! – Clear Message Nov 16 2012

As highly improbably as it was choosing the same card twice in a row,

https://janesindiajournals.wordpress.com/2012/11/12/quiet-time-message-in-the-cards-nov-11-2012/

it was downright spooky choosing it a THIRD time.    But that is precisely what happened last night!

I am heading home very soon and simply don’t feel ready to “jump back into things” yet.

Time seems too short.  I am just getting to the point where I feel energized enough to begin doing things again, and I have to leave.

So I was “urged” to choose a card once again to get some further guidance about how to ease the return home.  Something which would give me direction or perhaps a new perspective.

Well, the answer is still the same!!  QUIET TIME!!

The message is being forcefully pounded into my head!

I have finally “got it” and am doing my best.  I am loved and blessed by God and the Universe and so beautifully taken care of, despite my own effort to “spoil” things very often.  🙂

Quiet Time – Message in the Cards – Nov 11 2012

Quiet Time – Message in the Cards – Nov 11 2012

From my recent posts you will have realized I am in forced R&R which I have now surrendered to and am actually enjoying.

But just o make sure I got the message – I was guided, twice during the past week to check my cards and choose one.  (unusual for me-I usually check the cards infrequently – never more than once a month and usually much longer).

You should know that I have two decks with me here in India, Goddess Cards and Angel Cards, and each deck contains 44 cards.  The chance of the same one card being chosen twice, at random, from the 88 cards is very slim.  I shuffle both decks very thoroughly before spreading and choosing one, after deciding from which deck to finally pull a card.

The first time, about 5 days ago, the card I chose was Quiet Time, and this made sense with everything that was going on.  But yesterday, when guided to once again choose a card, I was astonished when the SAME CARD found its way into my hand.!!

“Take some quiet time alone to rest, meditate and contemplate”

I guess they figured I wasn’t taking the first message seriously enough (which I wasn’t but had jus decided yesterday that I finally DID “get it”) and wanted to make sure it sunk in.

Just out of curiosity, I took the OTHER deck of cards and pulled one card as well.  And it just pushed the message further home for further thought:

“Time out!!  You’ve been so busy taking care of everyone else’s needs, but now it’s time to stop and take care of yourself”.

I guess the message is clear!

February 18-19, 2011 – Interesting Couple of Days-Global Internet Village– Panchakarma Days 21-22

Yummy Home Cooked Lunch

The last couple of days have been interesting, at least for me.  First of all, although it is still chilly, the sun has been shining so I have been able to relax comfortably on my rooftop, as I have been quite tired the last two days, something which is expected, and up until now, I have not felt this year.  So it was lovely to be able to sit out and read, eat, relax, do needlepoint and enjoy the sunshine at the same time.  Cooked my own lunch yesterday as I was finished too early for lunch and didn’t feel like waiting around.  My own food is always the best in the end, but it is nice NOT to have to shop, cook and clean up afterwards.

On the way back I found this:

Wedding at entrance to High Banks-Guarantee of Three Noisey Days and Nights

At the entrance to the area I live in and I knew this meant 3 days of lots of noise.  Last night it began and I am very thankful that I have good earplugs which block out all noise.  Most people up here could not go to sleep until 2 in the morning…tonight and tomorrow it continues!

After eating lunch yesterday, a young girl came up and said she heard about me and wanted to know if she could get a tarot reading and healing session, and I was very happy to be given the opportunity to get back “into things” again.  It was a lovely session and another day came to a lovely end.

Today, being Saturday, while having my herbal tea outside the clinic, I got a few shots of the colorful crowds which converge on Rishikesh on weekends to go down to bathe in the Ganga…

Today while at Dr. Arora’s, another client came in to talk to him and after she explained what she needed, he pointed to me and said “SHE is the expert”.  And thus began a new career for me….transferring, converting, merging and burning videos from a digital camera.  For me it is simple enough to do and the other person was ever so happy.  And while doing that, another YOUNG girl came up, saw my laptop, and asked if I knew how to upload photos…I said yes, but would not allow her to put her data stick into my laptop USB port.  I’ve had too many problems with viruses to take the chance.  So she went to check it out someplace which I recommended, and later, will come up for me to teach her how to compress and upload them!!  Never thought I’d be doing THIS in India!

And now a funny story. I won’t go into details as I don’t want to expose people who might not want exposure, but it seems that a certain yoga instructor in America, who is making her first trip to India with her husband this year, has brought me to the attention of the American public via TV interviews.  Seems she was interviewed on a national network and mentioned how the internet had helped her to arrange her trip to Rishikesh.  Her husband had found MY blog doing a google search and for the last couple of months we have been emailing back and forth.  Well, I HAVE been emailing with a nice man from America who is coming with his wife soon, and thought “could this really be me?!?!?”. It has been a pleasure helping them, as I have helped others coming to India for the first time.  But how did I find out that I was mentioned in her interview?  Well, someone commented on my blog and I asked, as I always do, how they found my blog.  She explained it was after watching a TV interview with a yoga instructor who’s husband had been emailing me regarding their upcoming trip to India…(not by name, by description…a woman from Israel who has a blog about Rishikesh where she has been living for several months a year, every year for the past number of years). So she (the woman who was watching the interview) googled Rishikesh, blog, Israel and lo and behold (!), MY blog turned up!!

I find this all quite amazing to say the least…what a world!

And that’s it for today

February 10. 2011 – Reiki, Tarot and Shopping!

February 10. 2011 – Reiki, Tarot and Shopping!

Clouds over the Mountain

I mentioned previously that a couple of days ago I had an urge to go shopping.  For those who know me, this is quite uncommon for me as I really dislike shopping.  Strange for a woman, but true.  But for some reason I had this urge to go to my favorite seconds shop in town where I always find lovely stuff to bring back for me, as well as the place I get my cotton trousers for Israeli summers.  I had a lovely time shopping, found some lovely things, but still didn’t quite understand where the urge came from.  I don’t have excess money this trip and honestly did not think I would be purchasing anything new.

Well, seems the clothing was already pre-paid but I didn’t realize it until a couple of days later.

A local young guy here had been asked about a Reiki teacher by someone at his guesthouse and he asked me if I am working this year.  I wasn’t quite sure what to reply as I haven’t considered doing it right now, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to meet the person.

He brought around a lovely young English girl, we talked, she asked questions, I had the thrill of feeling the satisfaction I always get from teaching, and also mentioned to her the possibility of tarot readings when she noticed the cards in my room.

Well, long story short….the next day, yesterday, she turned up at my door with a friend, both asking for Tarot reading!.  The readings were wonderful, a pleasure for me to do, always surprising me with their accuracy and with the assistance they afford people who are at crossroads in their lives….and, the full amount that I paid for my purchases while out shopping, was covered by what the two girls paid me for the readings!!

Lovely to say the least.

I have some additional writing and posting of photos to do, but for now will end here and go back to enjoying life.

December 21, 2010 – EAT DESSERT FIRST or…the New Journey Begins and Guaranteed Cure for Allergy

… The feeling of peace and tranquility is slowly coming back and filling me through and through – it feels as though a thick, warm honey-like viscous liquid is working its way through my being – lovely feeling.

I am now sitting at the German Bakery down by the bridge

german bakery on bridge

where I have my first “chance” encounter resulting in a client for a Tarot reading this evening. This all came about when I finished my book yesterday and although I was still tired this morning, knew I had to go down to he book shop. It is a pleasant walk down but the “up” part is still waiting for me!
Got the rest of my herbal remedies on the way, picked up a couple of books and then came to sit at the German Bakery on the bridge to relax. I always enjoy this place but it has one drawback…it has no bathroom which means I very often pass it up to go to another restaurant in the area. To my great surprise, (as well as other not so pleasant surprises since I arrived-several of my favorite places have closed up – Tulsi, Flying Tiger among them), they have expanded the seating area and added a bathroom!

Lovely. They have the best cakes and desserts in town here!
When I arrived there was a free seat at a table where a young woman looking Indian was sitting, and asked to sit there. No problem she said and at first we sat quietly and then she began talking to me. She is actual third generation Canadian but her family is originally Punjabi. Turns out she is staying at the same guesthouse I am and will be coming up for a Tarot reading this evening…lovely way to begin my stay and a sign of good things to come.

And just now, I have done what I planned to do next time I am in the states- EAT DESSERT FIRST! I am always too full at the end of a meal for dessert, but the cakes here are so inviting, I ordered my chai and apple pie before my meal. It was absolutely delicious, and before going back home, had room for lunch anyway. Perfect meal and I may just do this more often! At least until I begin panchakarma anyway.

While sitting here I saw this guy who looked familiar and then remembered he is the one who posted a video on YouTube about Rishikesh with himself in the star role and singing a song he wrote about Rishikesh… Here is a picture of him…can’t find the link right now:

And just to end this post, a couple of quick updates:
the allergy I recently developed to animals and has been making me miserable for 3 weeks, even after trying every type of over the counter med available to fight it, as well as a prescription spray my doctor gave me guaranteed to clear it up – nothing had helped.
Yesterday, among other things, went to visit my friend and local Indian doctor – he gave me something which he said is guaranteed to help in 4 days….after the first dose last night, my nose ran for ½ hour straight, and then I slept well for the first time in weeks and woke up dry this morning! It is a combination of tumeric and other herbs…will take it for a few more days but it amazingly did the trick!!
